New York City
I went to New York City last Thursday with one of my best friends, Kathy. Her Aunt Dorothy was having a 50 year retrospective & solo exhibition of her paintings in the city. So Kathy, her mom(Peggy), and her good friend from Columbia(Beth), and I went up to attend the exhibition and have fun in the city. We saw the play Jersey Boys and I realized that I know a lot of Frankie Valli songs. It was fantastic! We went to the Metropolitan Art Museum and had lunch in the Trustee dining room, very nice. We ate a lot of great food. We also saw many stars..........we saw Mary Kate or Ashley Olson(not sure which one), Trudie Styler(Sting's wife), Chris Henchy(Brooke Shields' husband), Taylor Swift, and Dr. Phil. The Art Show was wonderful and I so enjoyed getting to know all of Kathy's family. They welcomed me with open arms. I was happy to return to home to my own family, but it will take a couple of good night's sleep to feel refreshed.

Labor Day 2009
After we left our mountain house today, we did some exploring in the community where it was located. We drove all the way to the top of the mountain, much to my minivan's chagrin. We found a house under construction at the top and walked through so we could critique it. It was fun!

We all tried to get a picture of all the kids together. As you can tell, several pictures were taken. The Clark boys and Garrett are crackin' me up with their expressions! Especially Reecie!! Also Riley had a headache most of the weekend and started running a fever so she is sick in the picture which is why she is not holding any younger cousins!

We decided with the Clarks to meet in the mountains this weekend. It was a spontaneous and fun trip! We were fortunate enough to find this FABULOUS house. We were also able to talk Mimi and the Gaddums(who were already in Clemson for a wedding) to join us for the fun. In addition, the Ippolitos who live in the area came over for a cookout and swimming fun! I love the mountain air and have decided that I would really like a mountain house. Although it would be nothing like the one we stayed in this weekend!
