Happy Birthday Garrett

Garrett turned 9 years old yesterday. He had a great day, in fact, he has had a great month! He a fabulous time fishing with his dad and all his other male relatives in Canada. He can't wait for the next trip. We went to Chuckie Cheese for his birthday, he won lots of tickets, ate pizza, and picked out a cool toy! He got 3 Lego sets so he worked most of the day on completing them. He said, as he does every year, it was the best birthday EVER!!

Fishermen

Neil and Garrett have been in Canada all this week with all the Haldrup men fishing. This is Garrett's first trip and the longest he has been away from me since he was created. I have done surprisingly well, I didn't really start to REALLY miss them until Wednesday. They are flying in today off the lake so I should be able to talk to them today! I can't wait, it feels like I haven't talked to Neil in 2 years! I know they both will have had a great time and I can't wait to hear all the stories. They won't actually be back in Charleston until tomorrow. Garrett's birthday is Monday so he gets to come home to a celebration. He is one lucky boy! The girls and I have kept busy this week. Riley did a dance camp and Jensen did a soccer camp during the day. We all worked at the community service project last night and will go back again tonight. On Wednesday, we all went to an art class and painted a picture. That was a neat way to spend the evening and all our paintings look good from a distance.

More Jensen's Birthday

I almost forgot, that of course we had cake (cookie cake) and ice cream. A birthday would not be complete without those!

Jensen's Birthday

Jensen turned 11 on July 2. The Clarks were here for the celebration! It was a busy day. First, we went bowling, ate ice cream, and finally dinner at our favorite pizza place. Everybody had a good time especially Jensen! She got an ipod touch! So you can guess what she does constantly.

Camps

Jensen and Garrett went to their first overnight camp this year. Jensen did a 4H camp in conjunction with Clemson University, this camp was on Lake Marion, SC. Garrett did Camp St. Christopher in Seabrook, SC, this camp is located on the ocean. Both them had a great time and want to go back next year. These are just a few random pictures of each camp.

Update coming

I have been slack in updating my blog. Jennifer, Holden, and Reece spent all last week with us and we all enjoyed their visit. I have pictures to download from Jensen's birthday and the Clark's visit. I will try to have it up by the end of the week, but I am in the process of sending my boys off to Canada so they can fish for a week. I am nervous because this will be Garrett's first time and there is no communication possible when they are up there. This has turned out to be a very busy summer! Hard to believe we are already in July!
